Is there any way to toggle off this new payment animation on the customer facing screen? It takes over the entire payment screen so customers can't see their total. We've already received a ton of questions about it, and it absolutely slows down service.
Could you reply here with a screenshot/video of the payment animation you're referring to? I'm not familiar with it, and our Hardware team isn't quite sure either. If we can get a picture that would be super helpful.

Please see the video below. This animation started taking over the payment screen once the accept payment button is hit. At this point, most customers are familiar with how to pay on the register, and the feedback so far has been that most would rather see their totals while doing so.

I originally shared that video with our hardware specialists and they mentioned that they rolled out a test payment prompt (the new image that was unfamiliar to you.) They turned it off your account, but now it's strange that the total isn't appearing.
I thought we could figure it out here together, but this is looking like an issue where it would be best to give the team a call. They'll be able to do some digging on your account and see why that's happening.
Interestingly when I saw this on Tuesday I checked my customer display and it seemed OK with only the insert animation...
But now today when I checked to be sure something hadn't changed, I see this...
The first one was fine, but now customers don't see their total at all once the charge button is touched. And that is a problem.
NOTE that I see my display is remotely mounted and the one from the OP is mounted on the register.
Today my screen animation changed.
I agree with this post. The total needs to be on the payment screen! Removing the total only increased confusion.
The new animation may help customers insert the chip card better, but put the transaction total back on the screen.
