I am using a USB Zebra LS2208. I have a few barcodes that do not have a dollar amount assigned so when I scan them I can input the price myself each time I scan it. My problem is that I am unable to scan the same barcode twice. For example, I have an item that is $4, I scan the barcode and input $4 in the popup price entry window. I have another item with the same barcode that is $8. When I scan it the scanner will beep, but the box to put the price in does not pop up. I emailed Zebra and they stated:
"The issue seems the data some times not transmitted on your POS.
This is a setting you need to check on the POS as well, to allow it accept same item more than once. Scanner will just read and transmit the bar code data, it seems your application not allowing the duplicated data entries."
They said I could update the firmware to the scanner but that it may not fix it. Any idea how I am supposed to have the app accept duplicate scans one after the other?
