My website is showing the shipping default as $75 before my customers enter any of their information, it is scaring them off from placing any orders.
Thankfully a few of them emailed me to ask why the shipping is so high.
Please help!

Nothing has gone through for free shipping. We do have a coupon setup that customers get free shipping when they spend $100 or more and that works with no problem.

@BernadetteAplease do and try whatever you can (without breaking anything else) to fix the website issues.

I was able to find the original bug report, and left a comment to the engineers that we are looking for an update. I will receive an alert if anyone comments on the bug, so I'll make sure to report back here as soon as I have more information to share.

If you go back to the beginning of this thread you see the "trouble shooting" I have done and just checked it again and it's still the same thing. Showing the fall back rates as the default shipping cost BEFORE the customer enters any information.

HI, thank you for the screenshot.
Rest of World $50
USPS Real Time $10
USPS Real Time $10
*the $70 shipping fee being charged
The shipping rate for over $99 to apply should be something like
$0.00 - $9.99 = $7.60
$10.00 - $19.99 = $9.90
$20.00 - $29.99 = $11.90
$30.00 - $39.99 = $12.90
$40.00 - $49.99 = $14.90
$50.00 - $59.99 = $16.90
$60.00 - $69.99 = $18.90
$70.00 - $79.99 = $20.90
$80.00 - $89.99 = $22.90
$90.00 - $99.99 = $24.90
$100.00 - $9999.99 = Free

We are using real time shipping not flat rate. Whenever the customer adds something to their cart it shows the shipping cost is $50 once they enter in all of their shipping info the website then shows the real time shipping cost.

If I remove the international fallback rate, then the website shows "free shipping" as the default BEFORE the customers enters their info, which is just as confusing for them.

I removed the $50 international fall back rate and now the website shows Free Shipping as the default and then gives shipping quotes after the customer enters their information, which is also confusing because the customers thinks they had free shipping and it went away on them, when they never should have had free shipping in the first place since the total was underneath the $99 mark.

HI, yes, because the Free over $99 is not defined as example shown previously.

One is UPS and the other is USPS (the post office) for shipping inside the U.S. We only use USPS for international shipping.

HI, if you remove the Free setting? What options are available within the calculated settings?

The only options with real time shipping is to pick which of the services you want to offer.

The really frustrating part is everything worked fine for months, never had a problem with shipping inside the U.S. or international and then all of a sudden this problem started and the square basic answer is "we have no timeline of a fix" and honestly if this is only happening to a few people, square is not spending the time to investigate it

HI, that is frustrating indeed. They must have done an update or something. I do know some shipping rates don’t play well with others but since yours worked, it’s definitely Square. Good luck sorry wasn’t more helpful.
