I can't say exactly why manually entered cards are declining but we have an article that can walk you through troubleshooting tips: https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5082

 

Sometimes it's a matter of verifying the ZIP code with your customer. Other times it's a matter of getting the card number correct. For manually entered transactions, we require 100% accuracy.
