Why aren't my item reviews showing publicly on the Online Store?

The title of this post has been edited from its original: "e-commerce reviews not showing publicly".

 

We have received lots of item reviews but they don't show up on the items in the store.  All that can be seen is the average star rating if one clicks on the individual item.  Is there a way to a make the product reviews visible to customers? What am I missing?

Hey @Phillybaker. I had to double check on this with one of our Weebly specialists. 

 

Unfortunately there's not a way to have the written reviews displayed on the Online Store. Those reviews are only visible to you through your product page in the Weebly Dashboard. I'm happy to pass this feedback along to our team and let them know that it would be beneficial to add this feature.

OK.  But here is the blurb about item reviews that enticed me to upgrade: "Item Reviews. Customer reviews are a great way to build confidence in potential buyers and increase sales. If you've upgraded your site, you can turn on this feature from the dashboard in Items > Reviews. Click enable, and then choose how long you want to wait to send a review request to customers."

 

Question:  How are customers to build confidence if they cannot see the reviews.  I don't understand what the point of reviews are if nobody can see them.  What am I missing?

Item reviews has to be visible to the customer otherwise what's the point? As it is now they can see them in the cart but not before that. The page they get to if they click on the item in the cart should be the landing page for every selection, it has all the pictures and reviews.

Why hasn't then been adjusted yet? Sorry to revive this post... but seriously. I have item reviews enabled, and people have been reviewing my products, but we can't see any of the star ratings on the items.

I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding your question, but I see the item reviews on the item details page of your site. Here is an example for the brisket. Looks delicious, by the way! 😋
