Why is my customer display not connecting?

[The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Customer facing display app no longer works]

 

Last year I downloaded the customer display app and it worked well. It wasn't perfect, but good enough to comply with state regulations. I opened for the season last week, and the app will not even open. Is there a new version available? Is there a fix? If not, I may have to switch to clover because I cannot afford Square Register,band square stand lacks the customer display.

What devices are you using as your main device and your customer display? Also, are you still using the separate app or are you trying to link it via the settings in the Point of Sale app?
