Add customer at end of sale

Hello,

 

I have just started using square in a pop up store and I would like to be able to easily add my customers to the directory at the point of which I ask if they would like an email receipt. It doesn’t feel right to us to ask for this information before the customer pays. The option to add the customer is available on the receipt screen, however if I populate this (either by selecting a current customer or adding a new customer) and go back to the receipt screen the email has to be entered again. This is not good user experience as either I have to ask the customer to repeat themselves or I have to copy and paste the email by going back in to the customer profile. Very frustrated and looking for other POS options because of this. 

Please advise if this can be resolved.
