Automatic discount of X dollars off Y total purchase?

Trying to do a sale that gives $5 off $25, $10 off $50, etc. I have the discount amounts saved so staff can manually add them to the order, but it'd be nice to have it automatically detect when the sale total meets the threshold and apply the discount. Is there a way to do this that I'm missing? Thanks in advance.

You can read a little more about how to set up Automated discounts and why scenarios they can be applied in here.

With that said, there doesn't appear to be a trigger for an automated discount based on a total transaction amount. You can apply automated discounts based on:

• Item or Category

• Quantity (of item)

• Recurring (on a certain date/day)

• Limited Time (time based)
