import items with barcode

Hello - I was wondering if it is possible to import items incl. a barcode? There is no mentioning of barcodes in the import template.

Hey @disco! You should be able to enter the number from your bar codes (UPC numner aka 'SKU' number) in the SKU column of the import template. Or are you getting an error when you try that?

Hi, i have the same question, and yes i can enter the UPC number, but nothing happens. I was thinking of something like, once filled in the UPC number, the system checks what kind of product it is, and put name and picture. is there any way to get this done automaticaly, by scaning or inserting the barcode? thank you.

Hey @GandiaHager! Welcome to the Community.

So currently there is no way for us to be able to tell what Item is being scanned unless it is currently in the inventory.

You would either have to scan the UPC then enter in the item information or enter the item information before in the dashboard or app. Then scan the UPC and attach it to the item.
