"Buy Now" button not working on MailChimp landing page Square payment block

Hi, I am new to MailChimp and Square integration, but it looked pretty simple.  I followed the instructions on this page:
https://mailchimp.com/help/use-payment-content-block/
and I was able to connect Mailchimp and Square, add products, create the landing page and payment block.  Everything looked good, but when I published it and tried the "Buy Now" button, it doesn't appear to do anything.  It just looks like it adds a "#0" to the end of my URL.  EG:
https://www.myurl.com/buy
becomes
https://www.myurl.com/buy#0
I've tried disconnecting/reconnecting MailChimp from Square, I've tried removing and readding the item. Maybe it doesn't work on the free MailChimp account?  I'm not sure, but they haven't mentioned anywhere that it wouldn't.
I thought it would be a lot simpler than this.

Hi @QDCCA! Welcome to the Community.

I'm afraid I don't have much knowledge about Mailchimp aside from how to integrate it with Square so it'd be best to reach out to Mailchimp on this one to see what could be causing this error.

When you hear back from them- please feel free to post what the fix was here too so other sellers who might be experiencing the same thing can see how you fixed it as well!

Here's their Support Page.

Hi @ashc I'm not sure what happened, but I ended up buying one month of the basic plan just so I could get support, but shortly after I did that, it started working.  I asked them why it started working after I purchased a plan and they had no idea.  They said that a paid plan wasn't required to get it to work.  So I guess I'll find out at the end of the month if it will still work when my paid subscription expires.

Sorry I couldn't provide any helpful details.  If it still works, then if anyone runs into this problem, the solution is to purchase a paid subscription for one month.

@QDCCA That's so strange! Hopefully just a glitch? `

This is super helpful either way so I really appreciate you coming back to let us know what was happening.

Hello, I am wondering how this issue was resolved with Mailchimp. It is October now and I still have the same issue. Would you mind sharing some info, please?

It just started working on its own.  I don't know what really happened.  Sorry I can't provide more information.
