Site not visible in the search engines

Hi, my site has been online for a few days but typing the entire address does not appear in any search engine. This depends on what?

I have the same problem. Initially the site was published invisible for search robots (standard setting), but this was corrected later on and republished. SEO was added with keywords as required. Weeks later the site is still invisible and keeps referring to the robots.txt option hiding the site for search robots such as google. Frustrating.

Hello FabAnn! Sorry for the stress. Your site's robots.txt is all in order, and shouldn't be keeping search engines from finding it in this case. It looks like the initial indexing caught the site while the SEO blocking settings were in place there. It may take some time for the next pass to update that information, but as you have the setting in place, it should simply be a matter of time.

If you haven't done so already, setting up Google Analytics on your site is a good way to cut down on any waiting involved there, and comes with some quite useful tools in monitoring site traffic and other details.
