When I see a sale my heart starts to race, especially if it’s with a brand I love (oh hey Patagonia). My mind gets switched into hunt mode and I want, nay I must, find something to buy. I am being persuaded.
There are many ways that we’re persuaded to buy things: a false sense of scarcity, peer influence, obligation. You might not even know when you yourself have been influenced. But if you’re aware of it, you can use it.
