Is there an easy way to override price for silent auction items?

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "Easy way to override price for silent auction prices"

I have created items in Square for my silent auction items.  There are minimum bids for each item which is the Price.  When it comes time for the "winner" of the item to pay, is there an easy way to override what I've entered or do we need to edit the item on the fly with the new price?

Hi @BethSMF.  The easiest way to do this is to just leave the item price blank in your library — not zero,  but blank. This creates a variable priced item that will prompt you for the actual price when you add it to a transaction.  I don’t see that you actually need to have the minimum price in the POS, but if you do, you can always put it in the description, perhaps?  “Purple Teddy Bear (Min $20)” for example.

That’s the only way I know to accomplish what you want, I believe.
