Allow Team Permission to connect wireless reader

We are a Cub Scout unit using Square for our fundraising where we have multiple Scouts all around town using devices. Some received a wireless reader and when they try to connect the Bluetooth to the log in under Team, they get an error that they don't have permission to connect it. How do I enable connecting a wireless reader in my Team Permissions?

HI, the scout unit is ONE account.  The individual scouts are team members on the ONE account not their individual account.  Logins must be on the scout account.

You can review Team Management and Permissions.

Hope this helps.

I'm sorry if I gave you the impression that I'm confused about the accounts. I'm aware it's one account and they each have their own login credentials. I've already read all of the help on Square about this but I find NOTHING that addresses this issue and it's very frustrating that I now have a Scout that cannot take payments.

@Pamela12375 It's so cool you are able to use square for this fundraising event! Make sure they are using the square point of sale app and are logging in with their info. If each scout has a separate log in and it isn't working for any of them the only think I can think of is if you go to team permissions make sure the team permission set that is attached to the scouts accounts has the checkout option active and most of the options in that toggled on.

I hope this helps some.

Hi Lovewell, thank you for the direction but I don't see anything specific for this. When I tried to enable all of the permissions in Checkout, which is enabled, it then wants me to enable the Shared Point of Sale where they have to input a 4 digit seller code that isn't applicable. Any other thoughts?  I'm frustrated as is my Scout family as they aren't being able to take card payments.

@Pamela12375 yes, the 4 digit code will have to be enabled because square see's phones as like separate registers. (if that makes sense)

Our team members also use 4 digit codes its a security measure even though it seems like a hassle for your situation. I would try enabling the code, (maybe for ease you could just have the scouts use their birthday) and see if that allows them to be able to take card?

What are your thoughts on that?

The only other thing I can think of is allowing them to all use your owner log in (not recommended) But then they should be able to accept any form of payment. They would just also have access to all the other areas of the app as well....

Is any of this helpful?
