We already have a Terminal but need a second device at busy times. I was thinking of buying a Reader as the second device (as it's much cheaper), but if a customer requests a paper receipt can I print one via the Terminal? Thanks for any help.

Hi @Ed6, welcome to the Seller Community ๐!
You can definitely print out a paper receipt for any transactions you processed on the Reader but it is a bit of a manual process.
If the customer prefer a paper receipt, you'd need to:
- Go into the Transactions tab within your Square Terminal
- Locate and tap the payment you'd like to print a receipt for
- Tab Issue or Send Recent > Print Receipt
