Hi Seller Community,
I thought I’d share the latest post from our Australian Town Square blog, which takes a look into the increase in cashless payments in Australia in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic:
How the Coronavirus Pandemic has Changed Cashless Payments in Australia
Pre-COVID, Australia was already a world leader in cashless payments and early adopter of contactless technology. Square has recently crunched the numbers on transactions made in the first 6 months of 2020, which (perhaps unsurprisingly!) show a sharp rise in card payments alongside a decrease in cash payments, as businesses take a safety-first approach of minimising or forgoing the handling of physical cash.
