Hey @Bigmac31,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you've had trouble with your printer and cash drawer connectivity! Your cash drawer functionality is tied to your printer functionality, so if you get the printer working, the cash drawer should also work.
First thing I would recommend here it to turn your iPad off and on again after the update. Once you've done this, go back into Square and test to see if things are working as they should be.
If this does not work check under Settings > Printer to see if your printer is currently enabled. If not, you may need to manually create a printer station again. You can find more specific troubleshooting steps for different models of printers.
