Email only gift card, not a physical card

I don't want to give hard plastic gift cards out. I only want to send email gift cards. Is this possible or is there another marketing tool i should use on Square?

Good question, @svdogwalking. 

We don't currently offer a way to send digital gift cards. In theory you could load a Square gift card and just provide your customers with the card number. The card number would then have to be manually keyed into the Register app when the customer would like to redeem it. It's doable but I know it's not ideal as it still requires the use of a physical card.
