Hi @Jody2323 and @AnitaM I'm sorry to see that this has been happening to you guys. Can you please tell me what browser you are using when you export your Detail CSV?
If you are already using Chrome, can you try clearing your cache to see if that also does the trick? Also, is it only for a certain date range that this is happening?

I am using Chrome and I cleared the cache unfortunately it made no difference.
I'm not sure what other report that exports to CSV file exports the date?
I tried a few but I can't find anything.

I use chrome as well and have cleared the cache without any change. I do bookkeeping for 3 different companies (all using Square) and this happens for all of them and has been an issue for a couple of years now. I have not sought support until now as I adjusted each of the dates manually as I entered them into Sage 50 but our Auditors have now brought it up as a concern that the initial download from Square does not have the correct dates.

Hi there @Jody2323 and @AnitaM. Not fully sure why this keeps happening. I would also suggest updating your Microsoft Excel software as well as your Square App and browser.
When you get some time can you please send me a private message with the dates you are pulling your report for?
In the meantime, we will make sure to update you here with any new troubleshooting steps.

I have updated the programs as suggested, and still get a CSV file with the year being incorrect.
Surprisingly the month, day and time is correct.
I sent you a private message showing you the issue

Thanks for sending over the private message, @Jody2323 - I'm sure Sayra will be in touch soon.
Also, would like to submit a helpful reminder that you can also reach out to our Support Team for further 'hands-on' troubleshooting! They can take a deeper dive and help diagnose where the issue may be in real time.

Any solution?
Has Square even looked at this?
Very disappointed in Square's follow up. I have 3 issues where the system is not reporting correctly and no solutions!

An update on issues;
1) Wrong Year is an issue with Excel on my specific computer but I have not been able to resolve.
( works fine on another computer and Google Sheets)
2) Refunds- Customer name is not Captured in CSV file.........Spoke with Square, no action to date
3) Zero Inventory does not prevent overselling the item on POS.............Spoke with Square, no action to date
I added a fourth when speaking with Square - number of clicks it takes to add a customer to a sale...too many....Spoke with Square, no action to date
Square, we re only trying to make the product better yet not alot of support is recieved.
