You need the Contactless Reader- contactless-chip-reader
This has to be connected to the Square system your using.
You enter the Amount or Items you want to charge.
Press Charge and the a screen comes up asking if you want to Take Cash, Enter a Credit card number etc.
When this screen appears the person can insert or tap a Credit Card or Cell phone with Apple Pay or Google Pay.
The person may have to initiate a Google or Apple Pay process for it to go through.
