The other thing you can do is try and download the square app to your device. If you cannot do it then it will not work on your device. I would recommend buying an older Ipad like generation 2 or 3 from Ebay from an A+ seller or someone that has an excelent reputation on ebay. They run from $50 to $200 and then you'll be in business. Just try to find a used working square stand as well for this generation Ipad if your even going to use the square stand at all. As square no longer manufactures this stand for generation 2 and 3 Ipads.
