On a reports page I get a lovely message telling me that my sales today are XXX higher than the closest Thursday last year.
I mean that's great and all - but as today is Friday I'd be far more interested in the closest Friday last year. I don't open on a Thursday for this location so I'm not surprised last year was a flat line 🤣

Sorry for the delay, and thanks for flagging @Sam_400º
Another weird one 🙈
I have some ideas of what might be the cause here, but I will check, and then I can let our team know. Just to confirm, was this the Sales Summary report on the main Dashboard?

I always wondered which day it was comparing when comparing with the previous year. Ideally for our business we look to compare the nearest equivalent day, no benefit to comparing a Saturday with the previous years Friday.

Totally @phillipsrw !
I was just confused that it was suggesting that I compare it to the closest 'different day' - one that was no where near comparable 🤣

Does seem a little bizzare and for our business pointless. If I compare I'm comparing days, Saturdays with Saturdays, bank Holiday Mondays with Bank Holidays and so on. I guess it's one of the little issues that will be straightened our with use.
