I have one of the fancy Square Registers at my food cart and love it for what it does but it seems that for being a pretty powerful piece of HW the SW is seriously lacking. It's ridiculous to me that after spending $800, I still have to whip out my phone/tablet/laptop to manage the online store, add photos to items, run payroll, etc. My magical wish list of features I'd like to see:
- Full ability to manage the online store through the register. This means: Marking items as available/hidden/unavailable. Configuring store hours. Editing content. Uploading photos (see next bullet).
- Ability to integrate with cloud based or USB connected (phone) photo storage for importing menu photos.
- Ability to run payroll from the register
- Ability to run full detailed reports from the register (and email said report...there's a wifi connection, use the **bleep** thing).
Basically, anything I do from the Dashboard, I'd like to be able to do from the register itself.
