Switching to retail or not?

I feel like I know nothing about square even after using it for almost 3 years.  We have been using just the free things on the app to checkout and run cards. So should I switch to retail to start putting inventory in and checking out?  

Also if I do switch to retail, does it automatically generate a website? or is that separate?

I guess it would be nice to have a check list of what NEEDS/HAS to be done!!

HI, the free plan includes an online store.  You are able to add inventory, have a full online store and use the swipe reader.  The paid plans offer additional features, such as using a .com instead of .square.site as your URL, adding Paypal as a second payment provider and additional options as your business grows.  The website editor is available for you to use and design as you wish for your store.
