Why am I automatically receiving free processing? I just started using the chip reader. Is that why? I also followed some links about a square loan...want to make sure I have not inadvertantly signed up for something I don't want/need!

If you signed up originally using someone's referral link - that's why. You and they both get free processing for the first 180 days or $1000.

Sorry I didn't see your post sooner! Did you preorder your Reader last fall? If so, then the free processing is likely for that.

If you placed one of the early preorders, we had an offer to reimburse the purchase amount by applying free processing. This free processing wouldn't have applied until you started using the reader, which would explain why you just received it. Hope that helps clarify!
