Android A3 + Zebra ls2208 barcode scanner

So, I purchased a zebra ls2208 from the online shop as it seems like it's one of the only compatible barcode scanners that work with Android - but Square does not recognize it. The scanner powers up, scan light turns on when button is pressed - but still nothing. 

Anyone had any issue with this?
