Barcode scanner to notes input

Hi,

I am wondering if a product could be scanned into the notes section of square?

we are looking to have some give aways printed up and want to store this info in the notes sections once redeemed.

is this possible or is there anything else similar we could try?

@GarryC- Thanks for your time. I confirmed with our product team that there isn’t a way to scan products or coupons into the notes section of the Square POS, this is a feature request. 

However, the team recommends either tracking by discount or creating e-gift cards using a 100% discount code and attaching it to the customer profile, this way you will be able to see what your customers have already used up.
