How come after the latest update, my reader keeps disconnecting?

[The title of this thread has been edited from the original: After Update Card and chip reader off and on?]

 

I have gone through 2 readers and tried on 3 phones and a tablet; always the same thing.

 

After the latest update to allow Interac to work (thank you so much btw) the card and chip reader stays connected for 15 secs, disconnects for 5 seconds and then reconnects.  Have to time the insert in the 15 sec in is live or it will not work.  Particularly frustrating when a customer is not used to electronic transactions or poor sight so it takes longer to enter a pin and pick checking or savings.

 

Help please...

Welcome to the community, and thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear that you've been experiencing this. By any chance, have you tried switching between wifi and cellular connections?
