Hi I am new to Square and have basic experience in Quickbooks
I am a non-profit and we have an area brand we are using on promo items.
We will sell them online for maximum retail with tax
But we are also selling them in small orders to our merchants with just a small mark up (no tax) - so they can turn around and sell for whatever price they want to.
I am trying to set this up in square so it translates over to quick books and I can keep track of my inventory.
Any ideas 🙂 Thank you in advance

There isn't a way to set up differen't tax rules for the same item, You'll need to duplicate each item - one with the mark up price and another with tax assigned to it. Make sure to add some indicator into the item name (Maybe T for tax, NT for nontax) so Square's system allows you to create duplicate items with different tax settings.
However, managing items in Quickbooks might be a bit cumbersome with this workaround. @Foleymainstreet
