We’re excited to announce that your customers can now pay Square Invoices with a Square Gift Card!
Customers can now pay their Square invoices with a physical or electronic gift card, even if the gift card does not cover the full balance of the invoice. This gives your customers a new, convenient option for paying invoices.
Once you’re set up to sell gift cards, specify the payment methods you accept (credit/debit card, gift card or both) when you create a new invoice or in invoice settings. The options you select will show on the customer facing invoice pay page as accepted payment methods. In addition to credit/debit card and gift card, your customers can continue to make payments via cash or check, using Apple Pay or Google Pay.
To take full advantage of this feature, make sure to upgrade to the latest version of the Invoices or Square Point of Sale app.
Note: This feature is available to sellers with an iOS device or via your Square Dashboard. The ability to accept gift cards and specify accepted payment methods on Android devices is coming soon!
