Among many onboarding improvements, we are experimenting with a new PDF setup guide for Square Payroll that would be provided to sellers when they start onboarding with the product.

We would love any feedback on the information and steps provided in the checklist.

When I saw this message I thought that it would be a great document for onboarding employees in order to consistently and easily get them into the system.

However, I think page 3 could be a little bit more detailed. This is the part that we do often as business owners when we're hiring new people on and we take them through this process. I always tell them on day one to come ready with their documents and their bank account information and I spend about 30 minutes with them. There are a lot of parts that need to be done just right when you're pulling somebody into the square system for the first time as a new hire. I think page 3 is a little bit too vague.

I would definitely add in some information about how to handle new hires who have worked somewhere else previously that used square team. Or new hires who have had their own Square seller account. Both of those things cause the onboarding to take quite a bit longer and typically requires many attempts to get them into the system.

Aside from that I would definitely want to have more detail than what is shown on page 3. More of a step by step to create them into the system and properly add them into payroll.

I would certainly be happy to help and, I would guess that other sellers would as well, who have on-boarded at least 50 employees over time into the square team and payroll system..

This is an early version of the PDF that we are testing out, so we will definitely take your comments in consideration as we make improvements. Will be great to get your thoughts along the way! I may reach out with questions or updated versions.
