Hi Seller Community!
About two weeks ago, we launched a new feature, Square's Photo Studio App!
Photo Studio by Square makes it easy to take professional-looking product photos in just a few simple steps! This is a huge milestone for Square Online and hopefully has made an impact on your site already.
This week... we're hoping you'll share some of the photos you've taken using Square's Photo Studio App!
To share a photo, please click 'reply' to this post and click the camera icon to upload:
We can't WAIT to see your images! Thanks โจ

Just For Fun
Hi there - just wanted to let you know that we just added the ability to use camera roll images. You can download here: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id1593757938?mt=8 - let us know what you think!
Patiently waiting for Android ๐
Yes I used it during the test phase. I think some of the earlier feature had a easier to use function about it. Now it seems rather non intuitive at all.

Any features in particular you'd like to see come back, @ReginaRMT?

I tried it. I love the idea of it--so simple and straightforward rather than the multi-step process I currently use to post photos, but I thought the quality, lack of precision camera controls, inability to erase background images from spaces, etc made it impossible to take high-quality photos. I hope it gets better, and quickly, but for now, it isn't for me.
Thanks for the feedback, @JKO. Out of curiosity, what types of items were you taking photos of?

I was taking pictures of jewelry, mostly necklaces and pendants. Some have "holes" in them--both large and small spaces--and failure to remove the background in those areas looks really strange. Also, nuances of magnification and lighting that I can get with my iPhone 13 aren't available when I am using it in conjunction with your photo app.
Yes it is so good. I tried it. Do you have a solution for bulk import of images ?

I would love to share a photo. But, square hates Android. 72%of the world uses Android because it's economical, flexible, and user friendly.... Square chooses to go with apple (29% usage) because apparently small businesses have tons of extra cash to buy trophy devices. Hopefully I make an amin think about it before they block this post because I like being in beta. I like testing things. However, it seems every beta lately that I join to help they lay out a great product improvement so I sign up and find out all the details and then.... Oh wait you can't do this because this is IOS only. Check back in a few years we might have it for Android

Not hard to find the info. Search for "Android vs ios global users 2021" then you don't have to try to discredit my links. But for giggles here's some.

Interesting. Those first 2 sentences were pretty cringe though. Trophy devices? I would argue that itโs more technical than anything.
App code < Android OS < Device listโฆ
App code < iOS < Device listโฆ
The android device list is much longer, with more than 1 hardware manufacturer, unlike apple. This means more specific android app code, not just for a blanket term android OS, but all the hardware from different companies that run the OS. Square stand has been released only for iPad tablets, much shorter list of devices, and therefore code.
I have used both android and iOS devices, and currently have a 2016 iphone SE (cheapest model), and am up to date on iOS version & square app version.
Iโm assuming you live in a 1st world country, & I noticed the USA percentages were 60% iOS vs 40% android, roughly. Cโmon man, make the jump.
