I’m opening a retail business next to my sisters shop and was wondering if I would be able to use her WiFi to setup and connect my square register to indefinitely or must I have hardwired internet to setup and run square? When my electricians came, I failed to tell them I needed a phone jack. So I was considering getting a Verizon hotspot box.

You can use wifi. the added the option to use an ethernet cord to Square Register that it is optional, not mandatory.

I am using a verizon hot spot to run two square registers in a busy retail setting. Just be sure that you have about 2-3 Gb of data to cover updates. Most of the time you dont need that much. But if they push 2 updates in a month...
