Help with my Google Pixel 4a

Hoping that someone may be able to help me with my Pixel 4a. It does have the headphone jack and I can plug in the reader device but my phone will NOT recognize it. I've tried all of the troubleshooting tips, including allowing the microphone access, but still no success. Anyone know if there is a setting on my phone that I'm missing? Thanks, Stacy

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you've had trouble connecting your reader.

While the Pixel 4a isn't currently listed as tested as compatible via our compatibility site, the closest I could see was the Pixel 4 and the 4 XL - both are listed as not being compatible with the older plug-in magnetic swipe reader unfortunately.

Though, it looks like the Reader for Contactless and Chip will work on these models. While I can't guarantee any phone not on the list will work, it's likely that the 4a will work with the Contactless + Chip reader only.
