How can I get a daily total of merchandise on which sales tax was collected?

Sales Report shows sales tax collected but it doesn't show a total of items where sales tax was charged.  How can I get a report of that number on a daily basis.  This is an issue because of tax exemptions.

It sounds like the Item Sales Report is what you're looking for.

The Item Sales Report, when downloaded to a spreadsheet view, will reflect your items sold and has a column included for tax collected.

Head to your Sales tab, then click on Item Sales, then use the Export function in the top right corner of the screen to download your Item Sales Summary report.
