How can I identify the customer when they pay on an invoice?

I sent multiple invoices out for the same dollar amount. As the payments come in I can't tell which ones were paid. Is this a mobile app issue?

Hi there!

 

With each invoice you send, you're required to enter a customer name and email address. 

 

You can view the invoices that have been paid in your Square Dashboard, which will also reflect the name of the customer that paid that specific invoice. 

 

The app is more for sending invoices, while the Square Dashboard is the primary tool for reporting and analytics.

I have the same problem: invoice payment on dashboard says "unknown name" when the invoice sent on the email has the right customer name. For some reason the name is lost in the process after the payment. How do we fix this?

@tfnw That definitely should not be the case. All of the information you enter into your invoice should still be present in your Square Dashboard Invoice Tab

 

Have you checked there?
