How do I offer a promo code to customers? And other questions!

Hi! I am still new and still need some help navigating how to use Square Online. 

 

My questions right now:

 

1. How do I offer a promo code to customers?

 

2. How do I offer free shipping if they spend a certain amount? Also, I am wondering how shipping fees work if someone has more than one item in their cart?

 

3. If I need to edit something is it best to do it from my square dashboard connected to my app, or through Square Online? It seems they don't always sync and I'm wondering if it's because I sometimes edit through Online.

 

4. Is there a difference between Square for Retail and Square Online? I assume Retail is for brick and mortar stores. I sell from the app at events, and got the website to sell online.

You can add a popup or banner with the promo code available.

example spend certain amount (over $40.00)

$0.00 - $19.99 = $7.90

$20.00 - $29.99 = $9.90

$30.00 - $39.99 = $11.90

$40.00 - $999.99 = Free Shipping

 

3). There is a known sync issue with Square.

By adding items on your Online Dashboard items do seem to sync faster.
