Huge discount on square terminal for new users, but nothing for loyal square customers?

Why are people new to square being offered a price of $99+ 300 statement fee credit and you are offering nothing to those of us who have been loyal customers of Square for years? Seems a bit unfair if you ask me. I understand trying generate new business, but it's a slap in the face to people who have been using Square and receiving no benefits for doing so.

Businesses do this all the time: banks offer high introductory interest rates to new accounts, cell phone providers offer 2-for-1 phones to new customers, etc.  As you said, it's a good way for a business to drum up new business, but it means less profit in the short run.  When you signed on with Square, did you get any sort of introductory incentive?  We didn't, but since we are so satisfied with Square, we don't resent them offering these incentives.
