I want to create my Online Store from scratch - can I start over?

The title of this post has been edited from the original: how do I delete the store migration & create a new one?

 

I'm not happy with the way my old store migrated to the new platform and would rather just start over.  I cannot seem to find a way to do that.  Our store is for a single annual event so I'm not in a hurry but would rather do it sooner than later.

Hey there @shan93 - you should be able to start from scratch, no worries!

 

Simply head over to the Site Editor for your Online Store. Once there, select Website, then General Settings from the left-hand sidebar menu. You should now see Site Settings at the top of your screen here, like this:

 

 

Once here, scroll all the way to the very bottom of your screen. You'll find that the very last setting here is called Reset to Default and will give you a clean slate to work with!

 

 

If you run into any troubles, either respond here or reach out directly to get in touch with us. We can hand you over to one of our Weebly specialists - they should be able to point you in the right direction, or even give you a hand with this.

Apologies @mkbyisaac as this has changed a little.

 

Now the steps are to go to > Online Website Site Visibility and the option is there when you scroll to the very bottom.

If I start totally over, will I lose my domain name?

Hi @Laura723 - thanks for reaching out!

Your domain name will still be registered with the original host you purchased it from - it is completely separate from your site creation. If you start a new site, you can move your current domain to your new site.

How do you "delete" your store so that you can start from scratch?

 

The template that was automatically chosen is not what I want and there are no options available to choose a different one.

Thank for the response Joe but I am not interested in "resetting things to default". All that accomplishes is the very same template I have, just blank.

 

I want to be able to delete the whole thing and start with a different template, not "unpublish" not "reset to default".

 

There should be a way to choose different templates not just be stuck with the one that the software wants to choose for me.

Got it. Thanks for clarifying that, @wishmaster.

 

This alternative thread may be a better fit to answer your question. When activating your Online Store, you opt into selecting a theme - which can not be altered and therefore can not be deleted to start over. However, you can change a theme - which is instructed in that thread above.

I have 4 stores and need to delete 2 of them how do i do that? you should have a Delete Store button!!

Hey, 

 

I just figured out how to do it.

 

Go to online home page , click your site name on the left side page, click the three dots, then select delete

I'm so lost trying to figure all this out I just have too much messed up to get it back straight i had 2 locations at one time with the same address i closed one of them but it still shows up everywhere I can get 3 of the 4 test employees to show up in the time cards and and not all the time and not very easy right now. is this square thing so difficult the average person cant get it so they have to get the expensive web designers. Now that i know a little about it i would like to start over and trying all this all over. please help

I have been working on my online website and initially had chosen the Instagram format and now don't want it. I have followed posted directions and reset the online page at least ten times and it will not reset.
