Loading multiple gift cards from one transaction

I want to run a promotion- “purchase 3 gift cards and get 10% off/ purchase 5 gift cards and get 20% off, etc”.

How do I conduct a single transaction and still be able to spread the funds across each gift card separately?
I feel like I’m probably reading too far into this but just wanted clarification.

You would still load each gift card separately in the transaction.  then at the end of the transaction, you would apply the discount to the whole order based on the number of cards purchased.
