Questions Regarding Square Register & Barcodes

I am looking to purchase the square register for my home boutique but I am confused about where I create the barcodes. From what I am reading, you can create barcodes in Square Retail, but the Square Register does not support Square Retail. I am not going to pay for Square Retail just for barcodes, so where do I create barcodes that can be scanned to check people out with the square register? Thanks!

Hey @jaquillano, welcome to the seller community and thanks for bringing this up.

I see what you mean—while the ability to create bar codes with Point of Sale isn't available, the app will still allow you to use them at checkout. For more on how sellers have set this up, have a look at this thread: How do you add a bar code to items in Square Point of Sale?
