Totally a newbie question: How can I run a report to show only specific items?

How can I run a report to show only specific items? I have a small engine repair shop and I need to track labor items only. I don't carry any inventory. I am loosing the shop space I am currently in and need to see if my net labor income is enough to be able to rent a shop space.

I’m not sure if this is the correct answer for you or not, but if you have a category named labor and you enter all your labor through that category.  You can go to reports and scroll down to Categories and it will give you a daily total of your labor.

@rtfulk this is the way I do it as well... @Andyt591 if you already have it categorized in that grouping then you should be able to go into reports and click by category and that report should pull up.

Thanks folks! I'm a complete greenhorn to having my own shop. I've seen lots of people that have their own businesses make it more complicated than it really should be, and since it's just me, the simpler I can make it, the better.
