What happens to money if bank doesn’t resolve dispute within 90 days?
Hi,
A customer has an open dispute against me and I’m curious, if their bank (Am. Ex.) doesn’t resolve the dispute within 90 days, am I refunded the money on hold? Or, do the funds stay on hold until the bank eventually resolves the dispute?
Thanks!

Hello @JodyMabry, thanks for reaching out with that excellent question!
Ultimately, the Expected Resolution Date on your Square Dashboard is the date on which a case resolution will occur with little exception.
If the card issuing bank has found in your favor, or not communicated with Square by that date then funds will be released right away. If the card issuing bank finds in the cardholder's favor funds will then be returned to the bank.
I'll have an agent on the Disputes Team look specifically at your account and follow up with some more information.
Thanks again!
