I live in Australia & wondered in order to add the 1.9% surcharge do other merchants just add say 2% onto the purchase price so I don't loose any money on the sale?

Hi @Rosecollect ,
I think that's really the only way it can be done presently. You can build a service charge (under Business information in the dashboard) but then this will apply to all sales.
The good news is the CC surcharges are in Beta presently for Australia. Perhap consider signing up for the beta program here:
Credit Card Surcharges Beta group

Thanks so much for the info Bruce, much appreciated ๐.
I detest credit card surcharges & so do many customers. Yes, there is a cost to card transactions but cash has many costs that are perhaps not so obvious. Cash must be counted, reconciled, banked etc which all take time & money.
On a personal level I've gone 100% cashless and will always preference businesses that don't add a surcharge. And businesses that only accept cash will never get my business!
