Is there a way within Square Register to actually track hourly rental time?

Is there a way within Square Register to actually track hourly rental time? For example.... Customer comes in. Can he "swipe in" to "start the clock" and when done can he "swipe out" to stop the clock and then an invoice would be calculated based on his/her actual use of the facility?

@mjeakman - This definitely sounds like it could be a useful feature, especially for hourly rental businesses. As a workaround, you could use Square's Open Tickets feature and notate when they're checking out, and then back in using the notes fields. While it's not completely automated, it would keep these details inside the app. Also, I'll be sure to pass along your suggestion to your product liaison team.

@Sean could this work for rentals? I'm a business that rents dresses out for weekends but then they come back into our inventory

@sharetowear Hmm, you could use Open Tickets for rentals but when you add an item to a a ticket your inventory is not updated. Inventory is only updated when you charge your customer. Hope this helps clarify!
