A way to show services specific to a location?

A way to show services specific to a location?

The title of this thread was updated from its original title: “mulitple locations with different services”.

I am a chiropractor and I adjust in multiple locations with different services/pricing offered based on location (housecalls have set fees while in office do not). Is there a way to show only services for that location rather than it showing them all? Thanks!

Re: mulitple locations with different services

Hello @bodysoundMT, currently we don't have the ability to differentiate services by location. This is feature request and we'lll share any updates we'll update this post to let you know.

This is not a perfect solution, but as a workaround you could create a service with the location in the name. For example, 30 Minute Massage (Office Visit) or 30 Minute Massage (Home Visit). This way each service can have it's own respective price and your customer knows which location their picking.

Hey Benjamin! As you're using the Appointments online booking I went ahead and moved your post to this thread so you can read the workaround shared by Chad for this.

We'll let you know as soon as we have any news on this feature!

Adding our name to the list. This would be much better for us, too.

How?

Hey @ReinLily - Do you mind providing more details on what you're looking to do and we can better assist?

We offer different services at different locations. We do photography. Obviously we don't offer ski photos at the rafting company. We would just like to be able to separate the services by location for online booking. It's also important because we need to ensure we are tracking sales by location because commissions are paid to the separate companies we contract with. We want to ensure we are giving the correct commission to the correct contract.

This is also an issue we are experiencing with our business as we have two salon locations, and due to market expectation and differences in stylists we offer different services and different prices.

If this is ever updated Square Appointments would be much easier for us to use as well. Just wanted to let you know about another customer who could use this feature. For now we will do the location specification in the name of the service.

Thanks,

This reply created from merging an existing thread: "How can I set up different price points for each of my locations?" The author has been notified via email.

Is there a way to have services prices be different per location.  For instance one of our services is Unassisted 20 minute swim and I want that to be $18 in Slinger and $20 in Brookfield.  How can I make this work?

I offer different solutions Home Theater, Commercial Audio, and Live Entertainment support.  Our support channel is open almost 20 hours a day and services are much different.  This would be useful to us as well and not hard to update on SquareUp side.  Please ask your developer how long it would take.  I see this request has been open for more than a year.  I would say 1 month and would open up your business to additional customers.

It's been almost 2 years since this feature was requested.... any updates????

Another customer here in the same boat.. I want to be able to offer certain services at different sites, and an inability for clients to get to the other sites so they don't call out any issues with the pricing differences.  I run a photography company and offer discounted photo-sessions for local mom groups. I want those booking links to be invisible to clients that are booking a regular-priced photo-session.  The location-specific "items" solution doesn't work here, since appointments uses "services"

I had replied to a similar thread. This may not apply to all, but here's my reply from the other thread... Hope it helps.  Keep in mind this was what I did almost 7 months ago. I can't guarantee the process is exactly the same, although I don't believe any buttons/links in appointments have been moved.

So, there is a way to do this, but it requires embedding the list on your own website.

In appointments, under online booking, website embed:

"View Advanced Options" button

"Create New Widget for [your company name]"

Give this widget a name - location, day of the week, etc. Whatever will help you know what is in the list.

You can select what staff are able to be booked - so you could limit it per location

You can select which services are to be included

Save

Now you will see the widget in the "Saved Custom Widget" list.

Click view the online booking page will open displaying only the staff and services you selected.

You can copy the link URL and either send it to clients, make a link on your business website, or embed the entire widget into your site. You can even embed several widgets on the same page of your website to split up categories, dates/days, location, staff, etc, keeping all services on one page, just organized by categories. Or you can devote separate pages to specific items/staff/etc. I created a google sites (in google drive) website to try this out. works beautifully with a google site. I haven't tried it with any other site yet.  It molds right into your webpage and keeps viewers on your site and not moving to the appointments page and missing all the other content on your website.

I hope this helps those that are really struggling with the need to have this all categorized and organized better. If you have any questions about what I've done here, please ask.
