Does Android support bluetooth printers?

I notice that Square is doing bluetooth printers with the IPAD,   when are they going to have this functionality with Android?

You're correct. We're not currently able to offer Android compatiblity with bluetooth printers, but this is definitely a popular feature request. While I don't have an ETA to offer on that front, we're always working to bring the same compatibility for all devices we support.

As always, keep an eye out for app updates from the Play Store.

I took a bunch of time to setup the menu and items for my android tablet so that I could upgrade to a bigger screen size than my iphone. Bought a STAR TSP650II bluetooth printer and I'm dissapointed that my only option is to spend $500 more for an ipad or go back to using the iphone in order to print tickets. 

Please work on incorporating ANDROID OS into the bluetooth printing option. Versatility is the reason that I bought into SQUARE.

When I spent a lot of money for a printer I never thought that it would not work with my Android device.

I would LOVE to have this feature ASAP. I really want to use a Bluetooth barcode scanner.  Would save me so much time.

@Jamesvl54 We don't have a timeline that we can share at the moment. I know it's not the reply that you were looking for, but there's nothing new to report in regards to this feature request at the moment.

Andriod should be at least as important as crApple!!!  Anyword on when bluetooth capabilites will be available for Android users?  It would be GREATLY appreciated and is very important to us! (Even if we poor Android users are obiviously not important to Square.)

Just for the record I for one of very many would really appericate it IF SQUARE POS as a company would support bluetooth scanners for Android devices.

 It should not be too much to ask for what is schedule for providing this feature to your app?

 Not available at this time does not promot good customer relations with the NON Apple users around the world

 that will most likely move to a different POS sys that better supports Android users.

I totally hear where you're coming from and definitely get that you need to make the best choice for your business.

I want to let you know that I have shared your feedback directly with our hardware Product Specialist. I don't know when we would have the ability to support a USB scanner for use with Android, but we do have several USB scanners compatible for use with Android at this time.
