Feature Request: Allow customers to look up their Square Gift Card Balance

I am wondering if there is any way for our customers to lookup their gift card balance other than contacting the merchant directly?

Hello Sellers — I have some good news to share on this request. Your customers can now check their gift card balance as well as reload their existing gift cards themselves.🎉 Learn more in this product update: New: Reload gift cards online.

Hi @Watasowe! Update: You can now check the balance of a plastic gift card from the business' eGift Card order site: Visit their eGift Card ordering site and look for the option Need to check your gift card balance? in the upper right of the screen!

If the business only sells plastic gift cards you'll need to contact them directly and ask them to check the balance of the card for you.

Quick update to this thread: Your customers can now check the balance of a plastic gift card from your eGift Card order site! 🎉

When they visit the eGIft Card order site they can follow these days: 

1. Click Need to check your gift card balance? in the upper right of the screen.
2. Enter the plastic gift card number (on the back of the card).
3. Click Check Balance.

I agree... contact square and have them do a search using the card number. The gift cards are registered to a specific merchant... so the card numbers are "attached" to one merchant.

Hi....how can I see the balance of a gift card that was given to me as a gift?

If I am the customer, and I don’t know how much is on my gift card? How can I find out without calling the restaurant? Is there a Square service number to call?
