Feature Request: Change locations without logging out

The title of this post has been edited from the original: How to change locations on iPad?

 

I use the same iPad for different "locations".   The only way I can see to change locations is to log off and then log back in and choose the location I want. Is there a way to change locations while logged in?

Just another (probably pointless) vote for this feature.


It's obvious that nobody at Square's product team actually cares about this issue. This would take a few days or a week at most to implement? Yet here we are YEARS later in this same thread. C'mon, Square. You have such a good product... why not make these small improvements to help out your customers?

I understand your frustration. I know it feels like we're not working on a solution here, but we are. This is a feature that has been requested many times while I've been at Square (and clearly prior). 

 

I can assure you that we will be posting an update in this thread as soon as we have one. We know that having to log out and back in on the app to switch locations is not ideal for our sellers. Please know that we do appreciate your patience! 

when will you make it easy with a toggle for switching between two service locations? Other apps have this. The log out and in just to view my calendar in the two or three locations customers come to is a real pain!

This is a feature request that many Sellers are asking for. While I don't have an accurate timeline as to when this feature will be available, we are keeping tabs of all requests to that we can easily update our Sellers when the time comes.

I have contracted employees with their own Square accounts. Is their a way to store information for multiple accounts in the terminal to make switching accounts faster?

Hey there! Welcome to the Seller Community!! This is currently a feature request, so I have merged your thread with an existing one so we can better track the requests coming through.

 

However; for your specific request, you may benefit from using our Team Management feature that will allow your employees to have their own pass codes to track sales, allowing them to switch profiles without needing to sign out/in.

Just another vote for this feature. We have two businesses within the same physical location, so it is very frustrating to have to log out and log back in while a customer is standing there ready to pay you and other customers are waiting to pay you from the other business.

Totally understand and I agree , the current way to switch locations is a bit cumbersome.

I run a business where my customers select the appropriate location for them so they can enjoy the conveniences of a mobile service. However, I continue to struggle with the fact that managing these multiple locations is tirelessly cumbersome as we are required to log in and out of individual locations as well as simply offering location-specific services as an online booking outlet in the form of embed Square booking tools.

 

For once and for all, can we please obtain improved support for businesses that have multiple locations and offer online scheduling?

 

Square needs to address the rapid growth of its customer base and should start opening up the dialogue around considering feedback from the many customers who use this platform. I refuse to use any other product but these small drawbacks are a neverending impediment to the performance of how we manage our operations as a service-based business in multiple areas.
