Loyalty program needed for Square for Restaurants POS

It is very frustrating that the check-out process for Square for Restaurants POS includes a prompt to sign up for the Loyalty program when there is no ability to actually have a Loyalty Program under Square for Restaurants yet.  Is there any way that this prompt could be disabled until there is loyalty program for Restaurants POS?  It's very misleading and creates a lot of customer dissatisfaction.  In fact, every time that it prompts, I have to tell the customer what a problem it has been with Square about this and apologize that they have the cart before the horse.  Please either expedite any plans for adding the loyalty program to Square for Restaurants or explain how to disable this prompt during every checkout process.

Just reached out to a member of our Loyalty Team to confirm this for you: 

 

You can certainly use Square Loyalty, even when using the Restaurants software.

If you are using the Square Register, the customer is not able to submit their info on the customer-facing screen before the sale begins. But you can take a phone number from a customer and add the customer to the sale before checkout on any of our Points of Sale.

 

You can also enter your customer's phone number linked to their Loyalty profile at the end of the sale.

Thanks Alanah, but maybe I wasn't being clear.  The problem is not the inability of the customer to "sign-up" for the program, but the problem is that there is no way to offer a loyalty program in Restaurants. That has been confirmed by your Square Customer Success rep that I have been emailing. She confirmed last week that there is no ETA for the Loyalty program to apply to Square for Restaurants.  Until that is possible, how can I disable the prompt for customers to sign up for it? It happens on each and every sale.

Your Square for Restaurants subscription will work with other products at Square, including Square Online, Square Payroll, Square Loyalty, Team Management, and Square Marketing.

 

If you would like to disable the prompt for collecting customer information, you can do so from your Device Settings on Dashboard.

Select the device where you'd like to edit the setting, then scroll down to the Customer Engagement section. Here, you'll uncheck the boxes next to "collect information" both before and after checkout. Be sure to save your changes once you've finished.
